Whew! This Christmas was a little more challenging than past Christmases but we have no one to blame but...well...me! I thought it would be really cool to knit Christmas stocking shaped or at least colored baby cuddles for our little Littles. And it was a great idea! But then our deadline got moved up by two weeks so a local TV station could come film a holiday story about the NICU (not that I'm complaining).
Thanks to my knitting pal, Kathy, we were able to pull the whole thing off. All the cuddlers weren't knitted but they all got made via the sewing machine and were all pretty darn cute, if I do so say so myself. For each NICU baby, we had a stocking cuddler with a velcro opening so we could slip the babies down into them for sleeping or photos, or a knitted cuddler made with the same theory, a Christmas themed hat, booties, and a snowman ornament with an opening for a baby's first Christmas photo.
I won't post every single pic but here are several of our favorites!
A couch full of just washed goodies ready to be assembled into individually bagged sets.
And finally, all bagged and boxed and ready to be delivered:
