Amazing Tastes Seasonings

What do these three things have in common?  Amazing Tastes Seasoning. I was recently given the opportunity to try a variety of these packets and I found them really tasty and convenient. There's something for everyone but I think my favorites so far are the chili, the poultry, and the pork seasonings.

The chili was a quickie lunch that turned out better than I thought it would, to be honest.  Normally, for me, chili isn't chili unless I cook the beans all day long and then add in ham, ground beef, sometimes sausage or shredded roast and then season.  On that day I used canned beans, ground beef, and the Amazing Tastes seasoning. It was really quick (I'm thinking perfect for packing a work lunch) and Gene even said "When did you have time to make chili?" so that one will definitely make its way into my pantry.

I served the pork loin to our contractors one night they were working late on our bathroom remodel and it got a 75% favorable review.  Okay, Gene didn't care for it but Ron and Lori and I liked the loin so much we were eating it cold out of the fridge the next day and made sandwiches too.  We all thought the seasoning left an all round heightened taste and really enjoyed it. When I tried to pin Gene down to what he didn't like about the outside coating he couldn't articulate it.  He just kept saying "I don't hate it but I don't like it either."  So take that as you will.

The coup is the chicken though.  My Chicken and Spinach Cannelloni that we loved so much?  The poultry seasoning on the grilled breasts really made the flavor pop. One of the things I liked better on my cannelloni than from a restaurant is that mine had more flavor.  Cannelloni, like fettuccine alfredo can either be a heavenly dish to those of us who could live on cream of butter (and we know who we are, don't we?) or a bland dish to those who don't like cream sauces.  The cannelloni had it all. Although it was sauced with Alfredo, the inside really zinged with great grilled chicken and fresh spinach flavor.  I really don't think it would have been the same dish without the Amazing Tastes seasoning on the chicken so that one also will have a permaent home in my pantry.

Next time you see these in your grocery, grab a couple of packets and take them out on the dance floor.  They have a little bit of everything.  If you're like me, sure, you season mostly from scratch but there are always a few packets or mixes here and there for your favorites or for your convenience. I noticed they're available in a lot of national grocers like Dierbergs, Albertson's, Piggly Wiggly, etc.

The pork looks so succulant. If I see these, I'll pick up a few to try. We dont have any of those stores you listed, but I'm sure they'll be coming to a store near me!

The chili was dandy and the chicken was tasty too.

Megan--Thanks! You'll enjoy them.

Gene--Thanks for commenting, pumpkin

Dear Santa, A beautiful and talented Doctor promised me that she would get a recipe for the Enchilada casserole that she showed in her notes a few months back. She hasn't gotten it yet so I am wondering if for Christmas you could whisper in her ear to remind her. It looked sooooo good that I just can't wait to make it. With love and hugs, Alaina

Alaina--Too funny!! I promise I'll get that recipe out of Kim by Chrismtas--then we'll both have a present!
(Love the doc remark but I'm only a respiratory therapist...who secretly thinks she could have been a doc if she'd gone to med school...heheheheh)
