Do I Have the Greatest Auntie in the World, Or What?

Dscn36472286dscn3647_2

One of mine and Auntie Miranda's favorite stores in town, The Cheddar Block, has started a Thursday night wine & cheese tasting. I didn't get to go but she and Uncle Paul did. I didn't think anything about it until they pulled up in my driveway bearing a gift sack.  Holy Cow Milk (and sheep's milk).  What a haul.  I'm speechless. This is absolutely so sweet.

Cheeses:  Formaggi Podda,  Prima Donna (had that, wonderful!), Port Salut (yum!), Old Amsterdam, Basil's Rauchkase, and Horseradish Cheddar (be still my heart, two of my favorite flavors mixed together). She brought recipes from the event too.

Thank you, Auntie! Lunch(es) are on me next time!

Oh, yum! Cheese is a besetting sin - and about the only reason I'm not a vegan!

You are a very lucky girl there Glenna. Horseradish Cheddar that sounds wonderful.

I'm jealous!

You are a lucky woman! I love horseradish cheese- Fancy Yancey makes one that is almost as good as eating wasabi!

Too bad you can't mail me some of that too! I love cheese. I dream about it. And I'm so p/o'd that babybel's are like $9.00 a package now. I know those are like the "processed cheese" of cheeses, but it's still good too. Ooooh I bet Matt would love the wine and cheese tasting. We'll have to come back and go there.

David--Amen!

Tanna--Thanks!

Kimberly--Hee hee

Deborah--Yum! That sounds wonderful!

Colleen--LOL! (I like those too!) Definitely. It's a date.

What a wonderful aunt indeed! I love Port Salut! My grandma used to do sweet things like that!
