Mmmmm....Matzo Ball soup...that's the ticket. It will surely cure what ails you. Simple, easy to digest, one of the simple things in life and full of chickeny stock goodness with a touch of fresh dill. It the soothes the savage beast within me that screams "Why am I STILL FREAKING SICK??!!" I don't know either but I'm really tired of this stuff. Is everyone on the planet still sick with this respiratory stuff? I've had antibiotics and prednisone and, yet, I'm still coughing like a maniac. Yowza. Oh well. Enough complaining. For the moment.
This is my addition to Kalyn of Kalyn's Kitchen's Weekend Herb Blogging Event, being Hosted this week by Coffeepot at Coffee & Cornbread. Clicke to see all the herby recipes in her round-up later this week.

Glenna I just got over the stuff but it lasted about 2 weeks for me.
I wish I had some of your soup. It might have made me heal faster.

Rand has been awfully sick for weeks. I've been lucky this year, and I'm not sure why, but I have been keeping Airborne at school and every time one of the kids coughs a lot (or goes home sick) I mix some up and drink it. I've never tasted Matzo balls, but they sound intereting.

I had a week of dry hacky cough between Christmas and New Years, took antibiotics that didn't help and it eventually died off. Strange. I do know a lot of people who have been sick lately tho.

Just so long as you say away from that "fish" in jelly jars *shiver*

It looks sooo soothing! And I love the idea of putting the herbs in the matzo balls. Soup always makes me feel so much better when I have a cold.

Coffeepot--Yep, that's about what it's been and I'm finally starting to see the light of day. Man, this thing hangs on! Wish I could have shipped you some soup!
Kalyn--I've seen the Airborne at the pharmacy. Glad it's working for you. Matzo balls remind me of really light dumplings. I love them! Try 'em sometime.
Kate--it's really going around. And sadly, elderly people are being hit very hard by it. My hospital is full of old people that it's turned into pneumonia on.
Jeff--One of these days we'll have to get up the guts to try gefilte fish. I know. It looks gross to me too but there's got to be a reason people eat it...?
Sher-- Thanks! Me too! It's my run to food.

I hate colds and now that I'm helping my daughter with her newborn, I'm really upset that I caught one. Good thing I've made a giant batch of nourishing chicken soup when I got here. I might end up eating most of it myself!
Hope you feel better fast!

Ruth--LOL! Yum! Chicken soup is good anytime but especially when you have a cold. Hope you get to feeling better soon too!

Chicken soup - it's almost worth it to be sick. But isn't someone else supposed to make it and bring it to you?
I've never tried matzo balls - they really look good!
