Love this blog: The Thrifty Knitter: Devoted to Rationalizing my Shameful Yarn Habit.
The title, alone, cracks me up. The beauty of this pattern for Hooded Baby Blanket is that not only is it practical, it's endlessly customizable in colors, pattern, weight, and on and on. The pattern would work great as a personal baby gift for family or friends, for charity, for Pediatrics, and for the NICU. You could knit as directed or play with the basic texture of the pattern by creating blocks of garter alternating with stockinette, moss stitich, or play with the colors by striping or using variegating yarns. It's definitely one of those patterns to be knitted again and again that will never get boring because of all the variations that can be made.

cute! :)
